The Jal Mahal, which means "Water Palace", is situated in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, India. Built in 1699, the palace was designed in a classic Rajput style using pink sandstone and features symmetrical architecture with intricate carvings. Although it was never actually used as a palace, it was constructed as a hunting lodge for the local king or "Raja". The palace appears to be floating on the surface of the lake and is renowned for its stunning beauty and peaceful location amidst the busy city of Jaipur.

The boardwalk along the lake is a popular tourist attraction, offering visitors a picturesque view of the Jal Mahal. It is also a very popular place for engagement or wedding photos, with many couples capturing memories against the backdrop of the palace. Despite its beauty, the boardwalk can be quite crowded and may not always be clean due to everyday activities and litter.
