2 Visual Metamorphosis as Subject

~ is the term we use to indicate shape-shifting in photography. It allows us to transform a shape representing one item into a similar shape representing something else. This, in turn, allows one meaning to be hidden behind another. It is a visual technique equivalent to allegory and metaphor in literature.

Visual Metamorphosis is a key tenet in Surrealism.

3 Plane as Subject

In traditional photography using perspective, the picture plane can be thought of as a window through which the viewer looks into the representation of reality that lies beyond. It's an illusion. A lie. In reality, the photographic plane is the same as the actual physical surface of the photograph, a flat object that in the interests of truth it should not pretend to be anything other than flat. In other words, there should be no illusion of three dimensions and is fully coextensive to the material surface of the work. A photograph with a flat plane is, therefore, more truthful.

Piano come soggetto

Nella fotografia tradizionale che utilizza la prospettiva, il piano dell'immagine può essere pensato come una finestra attraverso la quale lo spettatore guarda la rappresentazione della realtà che si trova al di là. È un'illusione. Una bugia.
In realtà il piano fotografico è lo stesso della superficie fisica reale della fotografia, un oggetto piatto che nell'interesse della verità non dovrebbe pretendere di essere altro che piatto.
In altre parole, non dovrebbe esserci l'illusione di tre dimensioni ed è completamente coestensivo alla superficie materica dell'opera.
Una fotografia con un piano piatto è quindi più veritiera.

6 Time and Repeating De Ja Vous as Subject

Repetition is simply repeating a single element many times in a photograph to provide a consistent visual experience. It makes it easier for viewers to focus on the content because they know where they can find specific types of profiles because we are drawn to consistency. Clocks in my photographs are a sincere comment about mortality, the potential preciousness of each moment, and the value of living in the moment.

8 The Line of Fate as Subject

Chance Repetitions serve as useful surreal devices for visual puns. My image here alludes to a collage... we see fragments of Beige and White repeated in the clothing of 2 figures and in the twin coffee glasses and in 2 sections on the building on the top right. This is punctuated by reds on disembodied persons and in other parts of the frame . The arm on the left of frame leads us in and the one on the right stops our eyes from leaving the frame. Red also acts as the thread that links the image within the frame. Disembodiment and diminutive humans framed within a frame in the reflection contributes to the strangeness of the image. Strangeness is context in street shots, use it often.

Le ripetizioni casuali servono come utili dispositivi surreali per giochi di parole visivi.
La mia immagine qui allude a un collage: vediamo frammenti di Beige e Bianco ripetuti negli abiti di 2 figure e nei bicchieri gemelli da caffè e in 2 sezioni dell'edificio in alto a destra.
Questo è punteggiato da rossi sulle persone disincarnate e in altre parti del telaio. Il braccio a sinistra dell'inquadratura ci fa entrare e quello a destra impedisce ai nostri occhi di lasciare l'inquadratura. Il rosso funge anche da filo che collega l'immagine all'interno della cornice.
La disincarnazione e i minuscoli umani inquadrati all'interno di una cornice nel riflesso contribuiscono alla stranezza dell'immagine.
La stranezza è il contesto negli scatti di strada, usalo spesso.

Juxtaposition means having two or more things side-by-side, often with the intention of comparing or contrasting the elements. It is commonly used to emphasize a concept, form unique compositions, and add intrigue by collocation so that the viewer's attention is drawn to the similarities or differences between the elements.

Giustapposizione significa avere due o più cose affiancate, spesso con l'intento di confrontare o contrapporre gli elementi.
