Today marks a historic and deeply meaningful moment for Progressive Street.
We are honoured to be part of the Ikshana International Photo Festival 2026, presented by the Photography Club of India in collaboration with Progressive Street, bringing together photographers from 19 countries in a remarkable international celebration of photography.
The festival opened today at the prestigious Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Kolkata, with the inauguration graciously conducted by Justice Dipankar Datta, Judge of the Supreme Court of India.
The opening ceremony was held in the distinguished presence of Rohini Ranjan Goswami, Director of the ICCR, Promud Boruah, Regional Secretary of the Lalit Kala Akademi (Kolkata), and Rajarshi Banerji, Nikon Brand Creator, alongside several eminent photographers from India, including Jhuma Dutta, Soumya Shankar Ghosal, Joydeep Mukherjee, Raj Sarkar, and Deb Lahiri.
The opening evening attracted hundreds of visitors, artists, and photography enthusiasts, creating an inspiring atmosphere of artistic exchange and cultural dialogue.
For Progressive Street, this occasion holds particular significance. A dedicated Progressive Street wall is being presented at the festival, showcasing works from photographers across our global community — a moment that reflects the growing international journey of our platform and the shared passion for street and documentary photography.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Photography Club of India for their vision and collaboration in creating this powerful bridge between Italy and India, uniting photographers and audiences through the universal language of imagery.
