When I'm on my travels, I sometimes blog
Osaka again
My first full day in Osaka was Sunday November 23. The day before I had said goodbye to Keef Charles and taken the train from Tokyo to Osaka and then rested the remainder of the day.
In the morning I still felt pretty tired after the intense weeks in Tokyo.
But by lunchtime I realized I had to out for some food and might just as well make an outing of it. I took a look at the map of the hotel's surroundings and saw an island in a river arm just to the north. I decided to take a walk there. It turned out to be a good choice. There was a nice park in the eastern part of the long, narrow side of the island and I found a small restaurant for my lunch. There were many people picknicking and some activities for children going on.
After a bit of this I tried the western side of the island and there I found quite a big flea market with mostly second hand clothes. I had some fun shooting street there and then decided to do some discovering of the streets in the vicinity of my hotel. Again a good choice! I found a street market set up during what I believe was a temple festival. More fun street shooting and in the evening I went back and had some nice street food!
Take care!
