When I'm on my travels, I sometimes blog
On Saturday November 15th we set out for Asakusa and the Senso-Ji shrine. This is probably the most visited temple in Tokyo and the place was packed with tourists and celebrating locals. Something relating to kids was definitely happening because many parents had dressed up their little ones and themselves too in silk kimonos. The kimono rental business was booming on this day!
We got lunch at a very genuine little place on the way towards the river. My ramen was delicious! The guys about our age at the next table were having a great time, quite loudly. Fun to see and hear the Japanese let loose.
When we got to the river, Keef wanted to take a boat trip, so we caught one right away. Half an hour later they let us out at Hamarikyu Gardens. A lovely place! For me, the most fantastic part was the flower field. I have never seen that in a city park before and in mid-November. It was what it sounds like - a big field of flowers, so beautiful.
By this time we were just going to make our way home, but found a few more points of interests on the way.
Be well!
