When I'm on my travels, I sometimes blog

Hi!

Tuesday, Oct 20 was my fourth and last day in Mumbai this time around. I plan to go back for a few days at the end of November as my last stop before flying home.

I decided to do a longish morning walk near my hotel. This was a bit of a repeat of the walk I did two days previously. But there are many small streets, and I found plenty of new places and people. Shops with material for metalworking were a theme in this area. Metal bars, pipes and such. When workers lifted or transported them, they offered me some sweeping lines to put in my photographs. Very kind of them! ;-)

A group of welders I had met the other day greeted me with smiles and what I think were jokes, although I'm not quite sure since my Maharashtrian skills are a bit thin. They offered tea, which came in a plastic bag from a shop around the corner, and about six of us drank it out of tiny paper cups.

The afternoon was quiet, with editing and relaxing in my AC room, trying to dry my sweat-soaked clothes before packing them in my bag for the next day's flight to Kolkata.

Be well!

Niklas
