Tokyo! Finally, I am there!
The trip was long and became even longer because my wait in Stockholm was seven hours. Another change in Beijing a more modest 2,5 hours, but it added up to...25 hours from door to door. I left Umeå on Friday Oct 31, landed in Tokyo in the evening of Saturday Nov 1.
On Sunday Nov 2 I woke at 5 am, an 8 hour time change is not always easy to handle. A Japanese style hotel breakfast at 7 and I was out the door at 8:45. I'm staying in Shinjuku and even on a Sunday morning there were photo opportunities straight away. I did a 3 hour walk in Shinjuku before eating the box of supermarket sushi I got along the way in my hotel room. The nap I took was a bit too long and I felt a bit strange....jetlagged is the word. I did a short evening walk and found some fried gyoza (dumplings) for dinner.
